sherri beary

Although it looks like only one person reads my blog (thank you anna for being an official follower) supposedly more people actually read my blog on a regular basis. And these people who aren't an official follower, and never want to comment :) still want spotlights done. Well to be honest, Sherri more than deserves one. It was her birthday at the beginning of this month, and man do I love her. We always have been close, and I just am so grateful for our friendship. She is a great listener and always is willing to be goofy with me. Thats why I had to post some of the funnest pics :) Basically, I love her. She is awesome. And she has always been a huge part of my life. I owe her a lot. I wouldn't even have a mode of transportation if it weren't for her! So thank you sherri! Thanks for all you have sacrificed for me! I think your pretty awesome.

twinners..but not

Its a weird thing when your sister who is 6 years younger than you, looks like your twin. So is that a compliment to her that she looks 6 years younger? Or a dis to me saying I look like I'm 13? Well, basically we both look like we are 15 or 16. Haily has transformed into a beautiful model. Seriously I am amazed at how quickly she grew up. Last year at this time she was probably 4 inches shorter and still young looking. Now boys are hitting on her. Not ok!! Weird moment-I took my sibs to 7 peaks, and Haily and I were standing in line. These two 16 year old boys came up and starting hitting on us. Now Haily just started giggling and acting like a 13 year old should (shocked that a boy noticed her) on the other hand, I was amazed that these boys thought I was young enough to be interested in them. Finally it came out that they thought we were twins. Well announcement: We are not twins. Althoough I have a bright and bubbly nature, I am 6 years older than her. Not that I mind people thinking I look like her, cuz lets face it, my sister is a babe. And she is amazingly talented. Too bad she got ALL the creative juices from my dad. :) I love her lots.
I bet when we are older we will think its cool to be twins....maybe we will be like Grandma Carolyn and Joyce. I hope we get to be so matchy matchy that even our pins, scarves, shoes, and bags are the exact same....Then again, I think I'm ok with us just looking like twins without dressing identical.

mom

Families can be together forever. I would die if I couldn't be with my mom and family forever. Today is my beautiful moms birthday. She has sacrificed so much for my family. I love her more then words can express. She is my best friend, and I hope one day I could have the strength she does. She is an amazing example of hope and enduring to the end. I love you mom. I love the example you set for our family. During this test of our faith you are a great example to us kids. You have taught us that relying on our Father in Heaven is what matters most. I am so grateful for that mom. I rely on your strength and knowledge so much and your friendship and guidance has helped me get through each passing day. Although I get frustrated about your passion sometimes, I admire your zeal for life. I admire that you stand up for what you believe in, thank you for being an anchor for our family. I know this will be a very different birthday, but I hope somehow I can make it a little better. I hope somehow I can relieve some stress and pressure and help you today. I LOVE YOU!!! I always will. I wouldn't be who I am with out my incredibly amazing mom. So if you love me or even just kinda like me, then you have to appreciate my mommy. I hope when I am a mom I am able to love and protect my kids like my mother has done for me. I am so excited to be a mom and hopefully be a strength to my kids like she is to me. I know one thing for sure. My kids will know how important family is. My mom KNOWS whats important in this life. Families making it back to our loving Heavenly Father.
Happy Birthday! From your oldest daughter who loves you more than she can express.

Princess Festival

One of my most favorite things ever is being a part of the Princess Festival. Basically all week long we do an interactive show with princesses for little girls for a charity that supports a city in Kenya, Africa. Pretty Awesome! And what else does Jessica need in life? Performing, little girls, being a princess, and helping people!!! Ya its the best :) So here are some of my favorite pics...Throughout the week I was Sleeping Beauty, an Evil Step-sister, and the Blue Fairy (from Pinocchio) who was the tour guide.

*Still waiting for the pics from my dad of me as sleeping beauty and the pics of Adam and I together. That was the other cool part of this whole experience, Adam did it with me!! Yay for sibling bonding! He was the best Peter Pan EVER!!! For those of you who haven't seen Adam in a while, he is growing up. I really love that I've had the chance to spend more time with him.

something much bigger than me

I love the moments in life when you feel connected to something so much bigger.

Ah, Family. :)
I had the amazing chance to put on a dress of my grandma's mother's dress. So its my great-grandmother's dress that she wore to my grandma's wedding. Gorgeous. Seriously. Great-grandma had this dress custom made for her and she was very short...I hear she was like 5'0"....so you can already tell that odds were against this dress fitting me.

I have never worn a dress that fit more perfectly. Ever. As soon as I zipped it up tears were flowing down my cheeks. I felt like I was a part of something. I could feel my great gramma's spirit all around me.

It was just awesome! My gramma Patti gave the dress to me, and said gramma and grandpa Epperson were dancing because I fit in the dress! :) It was so generous.

I just love feeling like I am a part of something important. Somehow I feel connected to the past through this dress. I love that.

I wonder if there will be anything of mine that my great-granddaughters will cherish...what a weird thing to think about!

Well, I love my family. A lot. I am so grateful I could be a member of our awesome Family Tree, I feel pretty lucky :)
